Setting the Time
To set the time, gently unscrew the crown in a counter clockwise motion until it is in position 1 and then gently pull the crown into position 3. Once the correct time has been set push the crown back into position 1 and gently tighten the crown in a clockwise direction until it has returned to it's normal screwed in position.
After setting the time or date, it is essential that the crown is screwed back into position 0 to ensure water resistance.
Setting the Date
As with setting the time, begin by unscrewing the crown into position 1. Gently pull the crown into position 2 and you will then be able to set the date by turning the crown in a counter clockwise direction. Once the date is set, ensure the crown is pushed back and gently tightened into position 0.
Please note that as with most mechanical watches; it is not advisable to set the date between 21:00 and 04:00 as this can cause a malfunction within the movement.

The Monmouth has a power reserve of 41 hours and if left unworn for an extended period of time, the power reserve can drain. You can restart the watch by natural movement or by manually winding. To manually wind your watch, unscrew the crown into position 1 and gently wind the crown in a clockwise motion. Ensure the crown is screwed back into position 0 following winding.
